The derelict and unused patio was converted to the new studio, doubling the area of the old gym studio. Materials that could be salvaged in the demolition were reused - sandstone flooring removed to clad new entrance facade, timber louvre screens refreshed and repositioned, old pitched roof restored and lit up.

A green wall created out of belian timber planter boxes and fixed glass to give privacy while letting natural light in.

 

Mosquite netting sits below the pitched roof to allow natural ventilation and cooling of the studio.
